MEASURE U SENIOR LOW-INCOME EXEMPTION FORM
This form is currently out of date and will be updated as soon as the 2021 HUD Income Limits Data is released (usually on April 1). The below information is here for reference until April 2021.
Instructions: File by June 30, 2020. This application serves to request the Measure U Senior LowIncome Exemption. To qualify for this exemption, you must be 65 years of age or older by December 31, 2019, own and occupy your residence located in the Southern Marin Fire Protection District, and your combined household income is at or below the following thresholds.
The total gross household income from all sources, including social security, for the 2019 calendar year does not exceed the following:
- For a single-person household: $90,450
- For a two-person household: $103,350
- For a three-person household: $116,250
- For a four-person household: $129,150
- For a five-person household: $139,500
In order to meet the deadline to qualify for the exemption on your September 2020-2021 tax bill, you must file your request by June 30, 2020.
You must reapply each year to keep the exemption in effect.
If you qualify, please complete and sign the Declaration of Exemption to the Southern Marin Fire Protection District 2020-2021 Measure U Tax Form. Once completed, return the form to:
